Primary care, prescription drugs, mental health and substance abuse treatment are now covered

If you have Health First Colorado:

Enroll with your county Regional Care Collaborative Organization (RCCO)

Your RCCO will hook you up with what’s called a “care coordinator.” This person will be able to help you find a doctor, set up an appointment and get you plugged in to other services you may need (drug treatment, specialist care, etc.).

Need mental health or drug treatment?

If you really just need to see a therapist or counselor for drug or mental health treatment, you can call your Behavioral Health Organization (BHO) and they will also help you find a behavioral health provider and get you set up with an appointment.

Find a doctor using online resources

If you want to find a doctor or mental health provider on your own, you can go to:

  • The Colorado Department of Health Care Policy and Financing: Find a Provider online directory.
  • The Colorado Consumer Health Initiative: Blue Guide Colorado provides online searches for a doctor or counselor near you.
